Pet Rock
This is the first year of what we hope will be an annual Pet Rock show, sponsored by the Harder Beat, and benefiting an animal welfare organization. This year's benefit is for Luv A Pet; a year-old facility that provides very low-cost pet spays and neuters.
It's all happening at The Pound (obviously a great place for a "Pet" event), Saturday, April 12. We have five bands lined up - starting at 7:30 with Swank Deluxe, followed by Willy (from England). At approximately 10 PM Frognot will hit the stage, with Crucial Fiction next up. Go And Make Disciples finishes up this fun- filled night. The show is co-sponsored by the Harder Beat, the Animal Connection of Texas, and Pro Building. Besides a raffle for a Car CD player, there will be numerous give-aways during the evening.
Pound owner, Tim Schoenbauer, has sponsored other animal benefits in the past, including one for the SPCA. Take one look at The Pound's ad, and you get the idea. The doghouse originally was designed to belong to "Fido," but we had to change it to "Hershy" since that's the name of Tim's obviously very-much loved black lab.
This should be a very fun event, and one that will support a worth-while organization. Come on out.
Note: Though The Pound is apparently having rock & metal on Friday nights, the Pet Rock is still happening, Saturday, April 12.
