Birth place: Artesia, New Mexico
Major influences: Parliament Funkadelic & the artist I still call Prince
Age started playing: At eight, I started playing ukulele then later picked up the bass
Favorite Web site: Kevin Kelm Page
Detailed background: (Brian joined Frognot on October 30, 1998 replacing former bassist Todd Samuels.) I started on ukulele when I was eight, moved to trombone at 11, then bass later on. In 1986, I spent a year on tour in Asia. I moved to Las Vegas upon returning to The States. I started playing and doing studio work with anyone who asked me to. I would rarely turn down an offer. Some of the more memorable bands that I have opened for or performed with are Tony Fredianelli (now of Third Eye Blind), Sugarhouse, the Smithereens, Dread Zeppelin, Firehose, Berlin, Liquid Jesus, Stan Ridgeway (Wall of Voodoo), Robin Trower, and Pops Cool Love. As a result of this, I managed to play on a few record labels such as Exodus, Shrapnel, Audible Nutrition, and later Elektra.

We regret to inform you that Brian Starustka will no longer be performing with Frognot. Brian is under contract with his employer and is moving to Belgium October 1, 2000. Neither Brian, nor the remaining members of Frognot want to part ways. Brian has been a great contribution to Frognot since his joining in October of '98. His innovative and extraordinary playing and talent has inspired our music like never before. He will be truly missed.
