Frognot: Back on the Groovin' Train

DALLAS, TX; April 24, 1999 - After a three and a half month hiatus, Frognot is back in the groove and rocking hard. Armed with drummer April Samuels' healed hand, newly acquired bass sensation Brian Starustka, a funkier sound, and some new songs, the band came back strong to the club circuit in February with their crowd-pleasing and energetic shows.

In March, Frognot was honored by the South by Southwest (SXSW) Interactive Festival and named a finalist in the SXSW 1999 Website Competition. Although Frognot did not win the overall competition, they were among the five international finalists, up against such heavyweights as Sony Music's Celine Dion site and Nettmedia's David Bowie site, BowieNet.

Community-minded Frognot has also begun helping sponsor Planned Parenthood. In partnership with the organization, the band will be giving out free condoms at shows to promote the prevention of unwanted pregnancy as well as to promote safe-sex.

Always on the move and gaining exposure, Frognot can now be heard again on AM radio as well as on FM radio. Frognot, who was interviewed on The Ticket 1310 AM last year, returns to the AM dial on The Mark Davis Show on WBAP 820 AM. Frognot tunes can be heard in the background on weekdays locally and nationwide on Sundays.
