What's the Big Deal?
Frognot has been selected as a Semi-Finalist in The Big Deal $100,000 Music Search! There were a total of 1,500 bands across America that entered into this unsigned band contest for a chance at a $50,000 record deal with Mars Music Records and $21,000 equipment shopping spree! 200 bands where chosen to perform at 40 Mars Music stores across the nation. Frognot will be performing at Mars Music at the NE corner of Walnut Hill and Central Expwy. (next to Dave & Buster's) on Friday, Sept. 29 at 5:30 p.m. ALL AGES WELCOME! Other bands competing with Frognot will be Frill, Odd Trasey, OG Burrito, and Vincent Hollands. Each band will perform no more than 20 minutes total set time, and be video taped and sent to the judges which are the A&R people at Mars Music Records and Palm. We hope you can make it out to help support Frognot in what could be a career changing event!

Belgium Bound Bee-Bop Bass Boy Brian :(
We regret to inform you that Brian Starustka will no longer be performing with Frognot. Brian is under contract with his employer and is moving to Belgium October 1, 2000. Neither Brian, nor the remaining members of Frognot want to part ways. Brian has been a great contribution to Frognot since his joining in October of '98. His innovative and extraordinary playing and talent has inspired our music like never before. He will be truly missed.

Brian's Farewell Show, Sat., Sept. 30, 12:00 a.m. at the Across the Street Bar
Thankfully, we will have one final club show with Brian!! His final show with Frognot will be Sat., Sept. 30 at the Across the Street Bar on Yale between Greenville and Central Expwy. in Dallas, TX. Also playing will be Bomb Shelter and the Deadbeats (featuring Frognot drummer April Samuels). Please come out and help us give Brian a proper send off.

Wanted: Popper and Slapper
With the unfortunate departure of Brian, comes the task of trying to replace him. Frognot is seeking a bassist who's got the funk and can pop and slap like there's no tomorrow. Strong backing vocals would be a great plus. The style of playing we are looking for can be heard on To The Wind and Crossed That Line, both currently available at www.mp3.com/frognot/. If you or anyone you know is interested, please contact Frognot via e-mail at booking@100proofentertainment.com.

"Who Cares, Where's That Dag Gum CD?"
Frognot's second CD release titled Uncovered is destined to be released this year. With the unfortunate string of events, it has been held up a bit. All 10 tracks are recorded and being tweaked as we speak. We are holding out on the final manufacturing until we secure a new bassist. We promise to keep you posted. In the meantime, you can check out some preview tracks at www.mp3.com/frognot/.
